I wrote the entirety of this story yesterday, all 3,490 words of it. I didn't finish until after 1 AM so I went to bed when I was done, but now that I'm awake again I'll share it here now.

Yes, Kathy's looks and personality are based off of me. :| The guy ... from who knows where. My brain, I guess. XD

It's pretty long, so I'm not calling it a drabble.

Greetings everyone!

Yes, after a VERY long time without updates, I'm resurrecting this journal! XD

I'll be posting what I call my Drabble Collection. Basically, they're short little stories (usually 200-500 words or so) that pop into my head randomly and force me to write them. XD

My characters are nameless and faceless - meaning, I don't describe their looks or ever give them proper names. I'll always refer to them via pronouns (he, she, him, her, they). Although, they are based off of real people. :)

I do this so you can imagine whoever you want in their place. I want you to picture them in whatever way you want. :) If anyone wants to try a hand at drawing them, I'd love to see your interpretation. <3

I'll be posting one each day until I run out. XD I'll try to write a new one once a week or so. No guarantees though. XD

It's been a while since I've written anything new. I wrote this today, and I hope you all enjoy it.

Beautifully Unbeautiful

Look past my glasses
And imperfect hair
My lack of make-up
And pimple here or there

Look past my clothes
That are not brand names
Occasionally dirty
And sometimes stained

Look past the shyness
And fear in my eyes
Look past everything
To see the beauty inside

There's more to my beauty
Than what you can see
I am kindness, compassion
And best friend there could be

I'd never judge you
Or hurt you at all
I'm there when you need me
I'll pick you up when you fall

I am beautifully unbeautiful
And it's up to you to see
The beauty that I hold
Deep down inside of me

I composed this story today. I wrote the draft in about an hour, and came back to type it, adding things as I went. This is the finished product.

Sorry it's been such a long time since I've updated here.

This is the poem I had to read at my grandfather's funeral. My grandpa would always come up to my house in early September when this one mushroom was out. I don't know the name of it, we just called them "stumpers" since they grow next to old tree stumps. Anyway, I'd always go out looking for mushrooms with him when he came, and I wrote this poem kinda describing what it was like. I hope you all like it.

Mushrooming

Bright fall morning
Wake up early
To the sound of the dog
And a car door slam
Get your clothes on
Run outside
A hug and a kiss
And a pat on the back

Grab a bucket
Get the knife
Throw on a coat
And head for the woods
There’s some this way
There’s some that way
All over the place
They’re looking good!

Follow Sadie!
She’s found some more!
Bucket’s getting heavy
We should have brought two
Sun’s shining brightly
Not a cloud to be seen
Great day to go looking
For mushrooms with you

Getting hungry now
Let’s head home for lunch
It’s time to cook
Our pick of the day
Big ones, little ones
Wash them up first
They’re done cooking!
Load up your plate!

Lunch is over
Let’s get some more!
Get the dog
And head back outside
Look for dead trees
And bright yellow tops
Look under the leaves
Where they like to hide

The bucket’s full
Can’t hold much more
Time to go back
And call it a day
Bye bye Grandpa!
I love you too!
Come back tomorrow
So we can go mushrooming again!

With just their lovely smell
